These Yellowstripe trevally are among the most common fish to be netted off the beach, though there are usually a dozen species of fish in every haul. Generally I help with the sorting procedures, ensuring the squid end up in this basket, the long toms in that basket and the strange spiky things end up back in the sea. The squid basket stains the waves black with ink when they rinse it out.
